Regina Rica

My trip to Regina Rica was this Holy Week here in the Philippines. We celebrate it in 1 week but the suspension of public and private offices was Thursday and Friday. So I planned to go to Tanay Rizal which is my province on Friday afternoon with my family and I looked for a place that is good to go this holiday. I was lookint for place that is peaceful, where you can talk to God and pilgrimage site.

Regina Rica is known as REGINA ROSARII INSTITUTE FOR CONTEMPLATION IN ASIA. It was founded by the Dominican Sister in year 1998. The statue of the Queen of the Holy Rosary is 71 foot tall on the top of the hill. Inside the lower part the statue has a Sulod – an acronym of Sanctuary of Universal Love and Devotion.
“Sulod” in Tagalog means “Come in” or “Enter”.

To get into the top to reach Mama Mary we walk through the path ways with a lot of sunflowers and there is a prayer music that you can hear, and you will feel so calm, peaceful and clear your mind from all the problems that you have.

After you talk to God you can walk around the place. It is perfect to relax. They have very nice facilities: Way of the cross, Chapel, Pets, Kubol (Temporary Shed) near the pond, Organic garden where they planted vegetables, Pahuwayan which is a Columbary, Dalayunan – Eating place and before you leave the place, they do have souvenir shop where you can buy any religious things.
